Plainly put, I’m real estate professional with a passion for community and economic development. I got licensed as a real estate agent back in 2007 as a way to bring in additional income to keep the student loan reaper off my back.
Since then I’ve had the opportunity to serve as a portfolio management officer with Bank of America and financial analyst for the City of Houston’s Housing & Community Development Department (HCDD). In both roles I was tasked with protecting millions of dollars worth of investments. During my time with HCDD I was able to streamline some programs and create processes for which produced 219 single-family homes, assisted 283 homebuyers with down payment assistance, and created 1100 affordable housing rental units across 13 apartment complexes.
My next adventure with Bank of America didn’t allow me to work directly with real estate, but boy did I learn some huge lessons about money and business. Eventually I was on a team with a loan portfolio of $387 million generating $25 million in annual revenue.
Fast forward to 2017 and I realized that I wasn’t utilizing my full potential so I left my comfy job and took a leap. I figured, “What did I have to lose?, can’t win watching from the sideline.” So I took everything I learned and packaged it up to offer to everyone I meet that would allow me to help them.
When I’m not out prospecting and creating investment opportunities I’m spoiling my baby girl Jackson, training and playing with my boisterous pup Teddy and spending quality time with my wife, Brittany.
